In the context of a project for the European Union the Polygon Technology GmbH develops the scanning device for the 3D digitization of faces, see also 3D-Face

The Software QTSculptor is used to process the scan data.

QTSculptor can be used to acquire and export 3D data by the push of a button, but also offers extensive / elaborate data conditioning procedures.

Depending on the activated modules the scanned data can be combined, triangulated and textured in QTSculptor.

For our partners in the EU project the scanned data is made available as a pointcloud or in the VRML 2.0 format.
